something Atlas Shrugged about this...

This is fantastic. An Italian 57 year old former insurance broker literally pursued his dreams, childhood visions of magnificent, utopic temples, by building them in an elaborate underground system in the hillsides of northern Italy. The result is being called the "8th Wonder of the World" by the Italian government. The idea that someone is so dedicated to fulfilling his dreams is heartbreakingly hopeful to me. Makes me a bit ashamed to find it so hard to even articulate my dreams, let alone pursue them.

A house was built on the hillside and Falco moved in with several friends who shared his vision. Using hammers and picks, they began their dig to create the temples of Damanhur - named after the ancient subterranean Egyptian temple meaning City of Light - in August 1978.

I'm in the midst of moving into my last residence in college. This is the first time since freshman year that I will be living in one space for more than three months, so there is a certain pressure to pimp the pad out...though with prices like these (1 cup = $14), most they can do right now is inspire.

fashion in a half-shell...

Turdle Power!

for Her

for Him

This is a design I did earlier this year for the first Awesome Creatures t.shirt line. The site is up now so you can finally get your very own fashionably turdy-purdy shirt! (click on pics for direct link)

I personally like the colors for the guys' shirts better, but they're already out of smalls. I'm also a fan of the Rhinostone...is anyone else really digging that plum color? Yum.

Printed on American Apparel 100% Fine Jersey cotton shirts.
